We at von Hasental GSD's would like to take a few moments of
your time to stress how much we believe that the first 16 weeks of
the puppies lives are so critical in their developing into the total
dog we want as an adult, that we take that extra time every single
day to give them the best start possible!
Puppies are like little sponges, they observe and absorb everything
around them and watch everything we do. To develop a well
adjusted, good natured, "experienced" and well bonded adult, the
first 4 months play heavily into their development.
We are almost fanatical with our puppies during their time here
with us from day one. For one thing, we employ the U.S. Military's
Canine "Super Dog" Program and their methods of "Early
Neurological Stimulation" from days 3-16. We believe these
techniques of minor stressing at an early age can positively
influence their tolerances as adults.
From their date of birth all our puppies are given the upmost in
care, socialization and the additional advantages that daily one on
one time, tons of love and caring, and our extreme love of the
breed can provide. This special care, if denied at an early age, can
never be replaced and this extra time and care can be seen in the
dog throughout it's entire life in it's temperment, acceptance and
self esteem.
Once our pups are old enough and weather allows, they get
outings. We begin more advanced encounters, experiences and
interactions with them. Our pups get every possible advantage here
at von Hasental. Before our pups leave for their new homes they
have been vet examined, wormed, up to date on shots and on a
regular feeding routine. They have been in crates, on trips to town,
introduced to many sounds & water, and some even get a trip up
on the mountain. We take daily walks, some down to the pond,
over obstacles, thru the fields, over rock, pavement, grasses, tile
floors, in the pool, and everywhere else life takes us! They are
used to daily handling, brushing, exams, nail trimming, weighings,
crate and quiet time, stairs, the ramp, noises, car trips and
everything else we can do to give them a great start.
We love our puppies dearly, give them the best possible start we
know how and try to find the best possible homes for each and
every puppy. It is this type of love and care we have for our
puppies that sets us apart from most other breeders. I know my
pups inside and out and try to ensure the proper placement of the
"right" puppy into the "right" home by this knowledge.
